This fabulous Spring Green vessel features a classically fluted body made with our 1875 Ornamental lathe as well as a sparkling, relief-carved cap created using our 1915 Rose Engine. The fine harlequin pattern on the edge of the cap ensures a positive grip while the floral sunray pattern cut into the top shimmers with the changing light.
The centerpiece is an icon of Art Nouveau design in the 20th Century, a 100 Franc coin (KM #919) featuring Marianne, the Goddess of Liberty and a national symbol of the French Republic, depicted wearing a Phrygian cap and holding a flaming torch. She is an allegory of reason, opposed to monarchy, and the champion of freedom and democracy against all forms of dictatorship.
