The side of this beautiful Spring Green vessel was cut by our 1875 Ornamental Lathe with an array of contoured squares, having 6 rows and 24 in each row. The bold pattern provides a modern design sensibility --and a firm grip.
The cap of the vessel was also carved in relief, but using our 1915 Rose Engine instead. The sidewall was incised with a fine harlequin pattern, while the top edge was more boldly cut with a border of 24 sparkling green petals.
Finally, we inlaid a 24-flute Sterling Silver dome into the cap, aligned it carefully with the carved border, and crowned the polished dome with a fiery 6mm natural Ethiopian Opal, expertly set in one of our signature Sterling Silver bezels.
