A genuine Ethiopian 50 Matonas coin showing the triumphant Lion of Judah has been inset into the top. The obverse is visible on the inside of the cap, revealing the portrait of Emperor Haille Selassie II when the vessel is opened.
This sparkling and unique container features a Rose Engine-carved cap with an ornamental grip that frames the central coin. The body of the vessel was carved with the same antique machine to create the boldly contoured and fascinating pattern below.
